By repurposing sonar imaging techniques—primarily used by the military or in industrial fishing—I film, through sound, the levitation of a body in apnea. A sonar device emits ultrasonic waves into the water, which propagate and bounce off the submerged body, recreating its presence. The image, produced by sound, functions as a true ultrasound—revealing what lies beyond human vision in the depths. By transforming the modalities of perception, I propose a gaze without eyes.
Inspired by animal echolocation, And you want to travel blind is an attempt to perform an ultrasound of humanity, linking the in utero world to a post-chaos world.

En détournant les techniques d’imagerie sonar, principalement utilisées par l’armée ou pour la pêche industrielle, je filme par le son la lévitation d’un corps en apnée. Un sonar émet des ultrasons dans l’eau, qui se propagent pour rebondir sur le corps immergé, et recréer sa présence. L’image, produite par le son, donne à voir ce qui échappe à la vision humaine dans les profondeurs. En transformant les modalités de perception, je propose un regard sans yeux. Inspirée de l’écholocation animale, And you want to travel blind est une tentative d’échographie de l’humanité, reliant le monde in utero à un monde post-chaos.
